Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation
Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation Improve your practice, strengthen your CV, benefit your organisation and improve provision for your customers/clients/patients. This programme has single modules that can be taken as ‘standalone’ or in a number of combinations to obtain valuable academic awards: PG Certificate/ PG Diploma/ MSC Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation Delivery involves a mixture of face to face and online learning activities with a range of assessments that give you the opportunity to apply theory to your own practice area and have real world impact. The University of Salford prides itself in being a supportive university and we have a comprehensive range of services provided through Student Life and great co-curricular opportunities to enhance your learning experience. We are currently taking applicants for the two modules which commence in February 2015:- Assessments and Interventions for Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation (30 credits) You will examine a range of physical, psychological, and organisational assessments and strategies that will support effective rehabilitation and you will be supported in developing a focus applicable to your own practice area. Long-Term Conditions and Vocational Case Management (30 credits) You will examine long-term conditions in relation to work and identify quality case management principles and approaches for client-centred rehabilitation, and apply these to a range of complex cases and perspectives. This will be applicable to any context – whether you work in the NHS; in the rehabilitation industry or as an independent practitioner. There is now much debate around the need for professionalisation in occupational and vocational rehabilitation practice and organisations such as the Council for Work and Health are currently engaged in workforce planning. The University of Salford is at the forefront of these professional developments, meeting market demands, building on existing training and experience and providing new educational pathways for suitably qualified professionals. On our Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation programme you will engage in a multi- professional approach to the proactive promotion of healthy working and effective rehabilitation. We have a suite of new modules that can be taken independently for CPD purposes or in combinations to gain qualifications (PgCert, PgDip or MSc). Please click here for further information.
